Lenzing Pavilion and seminar series remain popular destinations for attendees
Triple show co-location and Trend Forum remains popular with attendees
Texworld USA 17th edition celebrated its largest show attendance to date welcoming 5,895 verified attendees from 22 countries to the triple show co-located event. This year’s attendance represents an 11% increase in comparison to the July 2013 show. The event featured 436 exhibitors from 17 countries including Colombia, China, Taiwan, Turkey and the United States. For the fifth consecutive year, buyers benefited from the co-location of Texworld USA, International Apparel Sourcing Show and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo providing access to the full spectrum of sourcing options for apparel fabrics, garment manufacturing and finished soft goods for the home.
"The product quality showcased at the summer edition of Texworld USA has increased beyond expectations," stated Dennis Smith, President of Messe Frankfurt North America. "Our exhibitors from the main sourcing countries in the Far East and around the globe have really increased their level of quality. Premium quality exhibitors are on the increase as evident by the addition of several Italian exhibitors at the July show. We look forward to increasing a premium offering at Texworld USA in future editions."
Lenzing Pavilion and complimentary seminars attract crowds
Lenzing Innovation continued its long standing partnership with Messe Frankfurt for the 17th edition of the show. The Lenzing Pavilion featured 25 exhibitors and was a popular destination for visitors on the show floor. The complimentary seminar series which is also organized by Lenzing, continues to gain favor with visitors as evident by this year's attendance. The July series featured 19 seminars over the 3 day event, attended by 1,685 total participants of which 912 were unique. This represents a 17% increase in total participants in comparison to July 2013. The sessions included a wide range of industry related topics including: garment production and manufacturing, color direction and trends, global supply chain transparency, government textile regulations and global sourcing.
"Lenzing and our mill partners in the Lenzing Pavilion had an excellent show last week. There is a desire for innovation and fabrics with active aesthetics. Our "Source Central America Lounge" was busy as companies are seeking near sourcing alternatives. The seminar series, organized by Lenzing, was the most attended in the show's history with a range of presentations on color, trend, sourcing, sustainability, and emerging business. This forum gives the market an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss challenges," commented Tricia Carey, Senior Merchandising Manager, Lenzing Fibers.
A sampling of the most attended seminars include:
Texworld Trends for Fall/Winter 2015/2016, presented by Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud, Texworld Art Directors.
Fall 2015- Color and Design, presented by Fran Sude, Vice President, Design Options.
Color Portfolio- Fall/Winter 2015 Color and Trend Overview for Men, Women and Children, presented by Carol Meek, President and Creative Director, Color Portfolio.
Triple show co-location and Trend Forum remains popular for attendees
The triple show co-location of Texworld USA, International Apparel Sourcing Show and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo provided buyers access to 759 exhibitors from over 30 countries around the world, offering the full range of sourcing options for apparel fabrics, garment manufacturing and finished soft goods for the home.
"Texworld USA allows me to visit numerous mills and source many items in the most time effective way. I always find new resources and work with our current suppliers. This show is very helpful," commented Rasha Alomar, Vice President of Fabric, Komar Brands.
Mel Skochdopole, Founder, SLC, remarked "With it being my first trade show experience in New York, I was overly pleased with the ease of navigating the many facets of the show. The exhibitors were extremely helpful. Any questions I had were able to be answered, and I also received an immense amount of quality advice for launching my brand. Even as a small start-up, exhibitors were very friendly and willing to work with me. It was very nice to have access to the same fabrics used by powerhouse sportswear brands."
"IMPULSE" Trend Forum is a must see on show floor
In addition to the popular "Texworld Trends for Fall/Winter 2015/2016" seminar presented by Texworld Art Directors, Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud, the Trend Forum also drew crowds on the show floor. This year's theme titled "IMPULSE" covered four unique color stories aptly described as: Spontaneous Attraction, Brutal Poetizing, Innocent Appropriation and Anonymous Quintessence which forecasts the color trends for the Fall/Winter 2015/2016 season. Visitors were able to meet with Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud for a personal tour of the forum and view a juried collection of fabrics that were provided by exhibitors and could be sourced on the show floor. A limited number of visitors were also provided with a collectible Trend Book which provides detailed inspiration for each of the four color stories.
