Texworld USA and Lenzing Innovation celebrate 10th Anniversary of show partnership
Select exhibitors take home prizes for innovative fabrics in 2ndedition of the Texworld USA Cutting Edge Awards
On Tuesday, July 12th, 2016, the Summer 2016 edition of Texworld USA opened its doors and show floor for business to exhibitors and visitors alike. Continuing through Thursday, July 14th and once again taking place at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, the historic 21st edition of Texworld USA presented an assortment of international suppliers from around the globe who showcased textiles, trims and accessories in 16 product categories. In addition to celebrating 10 years of success in New York City, the anniversary edition of Texworld USA was also a celebration of 10 years of partnership with Lenzing Innovation.
The summer 2016 edition of Texworld USA boasted over 485 exhibitors representing 15 countries, including: USA, United Kingdom, China, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Canada, Colombia, India and more. Apparelsourcing USA, the co-located apparel sourcing show and long-term join venture partnership between Messe Frankfurt and CCPIT-Tex, presented 224 suppliers and international apparel manufacturers specializing in finished apparel, contract manufacturing and private label services.
“I’ve been coming to Texworld USA since it began. The show is maturing and improving. I very much enjoy it as a show. For me, it’s the biggest and best textile show in North America,“ said Charlie Kim, whose company People N’ Nature Co. exhibited at Texworld USA Summer 2016.
First-time exhibitor Victoria Lee of SFT Inc. added, “It was my first time attending Texworld USA. I thought the show was so impressive. I like how they organize all the companies. Everyone is eager to meet new customers. It’s been very good for us.”
On the attendee side, Texworld USA ultimately welcomed a total of 4471 verified visitors across three days while Apparelsourcing USA hosted 1049 verified attendees. Together the two shows welcomed visitors from a total of 55 countries, including: USA, France, Australia, Canada, Brazil, India, Nigeria, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Taiwan, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay, and more.
“Texworld USA’s 10th anniversary edition had a great turnout of visitors,” said Jennifer Bacon, Texworld USA Show Director. “We saw visitors from large, well-known brands such as Macy’s, Marc Jacobs, Coach, Ralph Lauren, Lord & Taylor, and Target, as well as many new faces from smaller but fast-rising start-up apparel brands. This just speaks to the vast and varied mix of product we offer -- there’s something for everyone at Texworld USA.”
July 2016 show marks 10 Years of fruitful partnership between Texworld USA and Lenzing Innovation
This July marked 10 years of partnership with Lenzing Innovation, during which the internationally-known fiber supplier has remained at the core of the show and has vitally contributed to the brand’s growth through consistent delivery of high quality exhibitors and over 200 educational seminars for industry engagement.

In addition to organizing Texworld USA’s complimentary seminar series for the 10th year in a row, Lenzing Innovation debuted the first series of brand new Industry Boot Camps. With the addition of 10 boot camp sessions, Lenzing Innovation presented a total of 20 sessions, making this the largest educational offering in Texworld USA and Apparelsourcing USA’s histories.
Both seminars and boot camp sessions proved to be a big draw for senior attendees interested in trends, sustainability, and new fiber development, as well as for small brands just getting started on the road to building an apparel brand. Close to 800 visitors attended the 20 sessions over three show days.
The Lenzing Pavilion also returned to the show floor with 25 exhibitors focused on integrating sustainable fibers into a wide range of product categories. From cotton to functional fabrics and knits to lace, Lenzing Pavilion exhibitors showcased the best use of TENCEL® and Lenzing Modal®.
Second edition of Texworld USA’s Cutting Edge Awards recognize most innovative textiles and forward-thinking exhibitors
Texworld USA’s 10th anniversary edition also featured the Texworld Cutting Edge Awards. Recognizing the most forward-thinking products each season, the Summer 2016 Texworld Cutting Edge Awards shined the spotlight on the best of Texworld’s international exhibitors across 5 categories. Winners in each category were recognized for their achievements in textile innovation during a live awards presentation on the show floor.
